Election Awareness Program

On 8th  November 2024, the NSS Unit of G. M. Vedak College of Science, Tala, organized a Voter Awareness Program at 5:00 pm to educate and encourage students on the importance of voting in a democratic society.

Aim & Objective:

The event aimed to foster a sense of civic responsibility and motivate young voters to actively participate in the electoral process.

The program included three key activities designed to engage and inspire the students:

  1. Voter’s Pledge: The event began with a Voter’s Pledge, where students vowed to uphold democratic principles and exercise their right to vote responsibly. This activity aimed to instill a commitment to democratic values and the importance of each vote in shaping the nation’s future.
  2. Matdar Geet: Following the pledge, the students were introduced to the Matdar Geet, a patriotic song emphasizing the power of voting. The song resonated with the audience, reinforcing the idea that every citizen’s vote counts.
  3. Sign on Signboard for Voting: A signboard was placed on campus, inviting students to pledge their commitment to voting by signing their names. This symbolic activity allowed students to publicly affirm their role as responsible citizens and future voters.

The Voter Awareness Program received an enthusiastic response from the students, who actively participated in each activity.

Outcome:

Through this initiative, the NSS Unit of G. M. Vedak College of Science, Tala, successfully raised awareness about the significance of voting and inspired students to contribute to the democratic process.
