Women’s Development Cell

The Women’s Development Cell of G. M. Vedak College of Science, Tala, Raigad works towards promoting gender equality, women’s empowerment, and the overall development of female students. The Cell organizes various activities such as awareness programmes, seminars, workshops, health and hygiene awareness sessions, self-defence programmes, and initiatives to promote leadership, confidence, and personal development among women.

The Women’s Development Cell strives to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for female students and staff. It conducts activities to create awareness about women’s rights, gender sensitization, social issues, and the importance of equal opportunities in education and society.

Through these initiatives, the Cell aims to empower women by encouraging self-confidence, independence, leadership qualities, and social responsibility, enabling them to overcome challenges and contribute positively to society.

 Goals & Objectives

·    To develop foster self confidence of women.

·    To ensure protection of girls/women from sexual harassment studying/working in the premises.

·    To highlight the importance of health and hygiene.

·    To guide about women welfare laws.

·    To assert importance of economic, social, racial and gender equality.

·    To direct women’s role in society.

·    To develop a multidisciplinary approach for overall personality development.
